Santtu Seppälä was born Aleksanteri Olli-Pekka Seppälä on December 6, 1974 in Illinois, United States of America. He attended Yale University between 1989 and 1993 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in ethics, politics and economics. Seppälä also holds an MBA degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he attended from 1996 to 1998.

Seppälä began his career in 1993 when he was employed by the Salomon Brothers as a financial analyst. He later moved on to the Finnish Defence Force where he worked for a year before transferring his services to Lazard Asset Management where he worked for five years.

Seppälä also served as a Portfolio Manager at Cantillon Capital Management and, later on, as a Chief Investment Officer and Managing of Kiitos Capital Management. He was also the Chief Strategy Officer at Staxxon.

Seppälä’s wife, Sarah Rafferty is an American actress known for her role as “Donna Paulsen” on the USA Network legal drama, Suits. She was born on December 6, 1972, in  Greenwich, Connecticut. Rafferty attended Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, and graduated in 1989. She studied English and Theatre at Hamilton College and later went on to study theatre at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. Rafferty also holds a Master of Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama.

Rafferty has a successful career as an actress, having featured in popular movies and TV shows like Falling for Grace (2006), Four Single Fathers (2009), Charmed, Six Feet Under, Tremors, 8 Simple Rules,  Law & Order, CSI: Miami, Numb3rs and Bones. After Suits ended, Rafferty featured in a few episodes of Grey’s Anatomy. She is reportedly set to feature as “Dr. Katherine Walter” in the upcoming Netflix coming-of-age drama series, My Life with the Walter Boys, which is based on Ali Novak’s 2014 novel of the same name.

Both Seppälä and Rafferty met at Yale University when they were students. They dated for years before tying the knot at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwich, Connecticut, on June 23, 2001. The couple welcomed its first daughter, Oona Gray, in 2007, and second daughter, Iris Friday, in January 2012.
